History
of the Company
Legacy Support established in 1999 provides
specialist data extraction and conversion
services for small to medium sized organisations.
Combining our expertise and internally developed
custom built conversion tools we are in a
unique position to offer high quality, low
cost data conversion services to our clients.
Data conversion is crucial to the successful
implementation of any new system. The quality
and completeness of data extracted from a
legacy system and migrated to a new system
is important.
Extracting data successfully is a technical
process which requires expertise. To achieve
a successful result and maintain the integrity
of historic data requires skilled extraction
from legacy systems. The technical input and
management and control of data conversion
projects are vital.
Over the past 12 years Legacy Support has
performed successful data conversion projects
for over 150 clients primarily in the Legal
Practice Management field. Using our internally
developed efficient tools and techniques we
have successfully completed projects on over
25 Practice Management Systems. We have recently
expanded our conversion offering to include
Case Management Systems and systems out with
the Legal profession.
We have links with a number of system suppliers
who recognise that our skills and experience
in data conversion together with our specialised
knowledge of source systems are a valuable
contribution to the success of system implementation
projects. We have a flexible, hands-on approach
which with our can-do attitude has allowed
us to build strong relationships.

Senior Team
Adrienne Turner,
Director
Adrienne graduated from Napier University,
Edinburgh with a BSc in Computing and has
been working with Legacy Support since it
was founded by Harry Usher in 1999.
Adrienne’s industry experience includes
expertise in a number of applications, DEC
hardware, VMS Operating system, a variety
of versions of UNIX systems and Microsoft
products.
Adrienne specialises in maintaining Legacy
Support’s multiple conversion environments,
an extensive range of source and target databases
and systems. She manages the physical transfer
of data between systems. Adrienne has extensive
knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and many
other databases including Progress, Informix
and Sybase.

Harry Usher,
Director
Harry is a graduate of Cambridge and
Herriot Watt Universities in engineering and
computer science. Harry worked in the manufacturing
and finance sectors and formed his own IT
Company which developed application software
for the legal profession, warehouse keepers
and timber merchants. He has successfully
installed accounting, time recording, case
management, text retrieval, order processing
and stock control systems in over 200 sites
throughout the United Kingdom.

Lisa Erskine,
Operations Manager
Lisa graduated from Napier University, Edinburgh with a BA in Commerce. She is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant. Lisa has a strong financial background with significant accounting experience including over 12 years working in Financial Services where she carried out a number of operational, analytical and project management roles.
